Katharine S. Speer, JD
Katharine joined the Chan Law Firm in January 2011 as an Associate specializing in family-based immigration, TPS, asylum, and deportation defense.
She developed an expertise in immigration law through her work for the Denver Immigration Court, private immigration law firms, and non-profit organizations.
Katharine has represented clients pro bono through the DU Student Law Office, the Rocky Mountain Survivors Center, and the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network. She continues to reach out to the community by serving in legal clinics and citizenship drives.
A University of Denver graduate, Katharine is a member of the Order of St. Ives and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. Prior to law school, Katharine earned B.A.s in Anthropology and Latin American Studies from the University of Kansas. She has worked and studied in Bolivia, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
